Founded in 1986 with 100% Chilean investment capital, in Quiborax we work with state-of-the-art technology and high quality standards which allow us to reach more than 52 markets in an agile and safe way, through efficient ports strategically located in the Pacific Ocean.

SURIRE

Located in the Surire salt flat, 157 kilometers southeast of Arica and 4,050 meters above sea level, this mine has been operating since 1986. A team of more than 70 collaborators works at its facilities.
ASCOTAN
​Located at 4 thousand meters above sea level, this mine is located in the Ascotan salt flat, 187 km northeast of Calama, near the town of Ollagüe where it has been operating since 2006. It has a team of more than 10 people
PLANTS
El AGUILA
This modern chemical plant has state-of-the-art technology that guarantees the quality and punctuality of its deliveries. It has a capacity to produce 110 thousand metric tons of boric acid per year. Located 69 kilometers from the Port of Arica, the plant has modern equipment and houses a state-of-the-art chemical laboratory, where Quiborax's Research and Development department develops new products for its clients around the world. El Aguila has a team of 400 people.
BORATES
Located 18 kilometers northeast of Antofagasta, this plant produces granulated boron fertilizers at 10% B for agricultural use. Its production capacity is 30,000 metric tons per year and it has a work team of more than 30 people
PRESENCE
Our operations are located in the macro mining area of northern Chile in the regions of Arica and Parinacota and Antofagasta. Thanks to a strict control of processes, technology and connectivity with the international ports of Arica, Antofagasta and Angamos (located on the Pacific Ocean coast) we are able to offer our products which we can send to any point on the planet.
Both our mines and our plants operate under strict security measures and meeting high standards of caring for the environment.
